About the candles

How long does a candle burn?

Each 8.5 oz candle burns for about 40 hours.

What are your candles made of?

A coconut-soy wax blend, a cotton wick and specially selected fragrance oils, poured into an 8.5 oz glass jar with a heavy base. Every candle scent is burn-tested for 76 hours before it joins the line.

What's the difference between a candle and wax melts?

Candles burn with a wick. Wax melts are scented wax without a wick that you warm in a wax warmer. Our melts come in a 2.75 oz jar and are $9.

How do I choose a scent?

Shop by season, or shop by scent family: Clean & Fresh, Fruit & Citrus, Bakery & Sweet, Floral, or Woody & Earthy. Not sure? A Scent Discovery Box has one wax melt of every scent in a collection, or build your own mix at the Wax Melt Bar.

Pricing and discounts

Do you have a multi-candle deal?

Yes. Candles are $28 each, or $24 each when you buy 3 or more, in any mix of scents. The discount is applied automatically in your cart.

Can I combine discounts?

One discount per order. If more than one applies, the cart uses whichever saves you the most. Free Midland pickup (code LOCAL) works with any of them.

Ordering and shipping

How much is shipping?

Shipping is a flat $5.95 per order, no matter how many items you order.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! Live in Midland? Enter code LOCAL at checkout for free pickup, and we'll email you to set up a time. LOCAL is for Midland pickup only. If plans change and you'd like your order shipped, just reply to our email and we'll send it for the regular $5.95 shipping.

How fast do you ship?

Candles on the shelf ship in 1 to 2 business days. If your scent needs to be poured, it ships in 5 to 7 business days.

What does "poured to order" mean?

Every scent is available all year. If we don't have your scent on the shelf, Misty pours it for you. Fresh candles need time to cure, so your order includes a card showing the date it's ready to burn.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to the lower 48 United States.

What are Scent Discovery Boxes?

Each Scent Discovery Box holds one wax melt of every scent in a collection, gift-wrapped and ready to give or try.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Email a photo to ondowningavenue@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery and we'll make it right. See our refund policy for details.

Gifts and businesses

Do you make corporate or client gifts?

Yes. We engrave your logo on the candle lid for client and employee gifts. Email ondowningavenue@gmail.com to ask about an order.
