Size

The sunsets in Texas are incredible!  This scent is the perfect way to bring the feeling of sunset into your day or evening.

Scent notes: Citrusy top notes of bergamot and sweet orange that meld into a heart of night-blooming gardenia and creamy coconut. A base of rich amber and vanilla evokes the sensation of sun-warmed, bronze skin, while a musk accord emulates hazy, fading light.

The details

8.5 oz glass jar with a heavy base · coconut-soy wax blend · cotton wick · about 40 hours of burn time. Every candle scent is burn-tested for 76 hours. Wax melts come in a 2.75 oz jar.

Candle care

A few simple habits help every Downing Avenue candle burn evenly for its full 40 hours.

Give the first burn about four hours

For the first burn, let your candle burn for about four hours, then blow it out. Don't worry if some wax stays on the sides of the jar (this is called hang-up). It will melt in and even out by the time the candle is about halfway down.

Trim the wick every time

Before each burn, trim the wick to 1/4 inch. A short wick gives a steady flame and keeps the jar clean.

Burn up to 4 hours at a time

After 4 hours, blow it out, let it cool and trim the wick before lighting it again.

Know when to stop

Stop burning when about 1/2 inch of wax is left in the bottom of the jar.

Always

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep candles away from drafts, children, pets and anything that can catch fire.
  • Set the jar on a heat-safe surface.
  • Put the lid on when it's cool to keep dust off the wax.

Using wax melts

Place a few cubes in a wax warmer and follow the warmer's instructions. When the scent fades, replace the wax.
